NASA's Human Capital Operating Plan (HCOP)
NASA's Human Capital Operating Plan (HCOP) was an agency wide document showcasing the scope of operating procedures and milestones.
Design Approach
For this project, I focused on creating a design that reflects NASA’s forward-thinking ethos and its dedication to human potential. The cover design is bold and modern, incorporating clean lines and a color palette that aligns with NASA’s brand identity. Key graphic elements and templates were meticulously crafted to ensure consistency, readability, and visual appeal across the entire document.
Key Features:
Cover Design:
The cover embodies the essence of NASA's mission, with a futuristic design that inspires and motivates. It serves as the first touchpoint, setting the tone for the entire document.
Graphic Elements:
Custom graphics were developed to highlight key sections, making complex information more accessible and engaging. Each element was designed to enhance the readability and flow of the document, guiding the reader through the content seamlessly.
Template Creation:
I designed a comprehensive template system that ensured uniformity across various sections of the plan. This included headers, footers, and section dividers that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing, supporting a cohesive narrative throughout.
Impact
The design of the HCOP has been instrumental in conveying NASA’s strategic vision for its workforce. By combining thoughtful design with NASA’s rich legacy of exploration, the document not only informs but also inspires its readers to contribute to NASA’s mission. The final product is a testament to the power of design in shaping the future of human capital at NASA.
